Resources you need to skill up for a career in tech

There are many exciting career opportunities within the tech industry, and if you're interested in breaking into this field, there are plenty of learning resources available to help you get started. My journey

Learning new skills is an essential part of any job, especially in a field like sales and business development where trends and techniques are constantly changing. For me, hands-on experience is the most effective way to learn. I like to dive in and try new strategies and techniques on my own, and then reflect on what worked and what didn't. This not only helps me develop my skills but also provides me with valuable insights that I can share with others.

Mentoring is another important aspect of my learning process. I have been fortunate enough to have had several mentors throughout my career who have guided me and shared their wisdom and experiences. This has been invaluable in helping me develop my skills, as well as in providing a sounding board for my ideas. I also like to mentor others, you can learn from anyone!

In addition to hands-on experience and mentoring, I also rely on books, blogs, and talking to others in my field to keep my knowledge up-to-date. I read a lot of books, articles and blogs on topics like sales strategy, customer psychology, and business development to understand the latest trends, and to find inspiration for new ideas. I also like to attend industry conferences and networking events, where I can connect with others in my field and learn from their experiences.

Overall, there are many learning resources available to help you pursue a career in tech, both technical and functional. Whether you're interested in software engineering, data science, product management, DevOps, or technical writing, there are educational programs and online courses that can help you develop the skills you need to succeed. The most important thing is to start learning SOMETHING.
